1: Heat-shrinking of the driving body During high-load operation, the thermally expanded driving body is contracted during cooling, and a magnetic particle meshing phenomenon occurs between the driven bodies (magnetic gap). After the operation is stopped, the next morning, there will be occasional signs that the shaft cannot rotate.

Treatment method: 1 After the operation is stopped, the shaft is continuously idling several times. 2 In case of failure to rotate, tap a part such as a coupling placed on the shaft with a plumb or the like.

2: Magnetic powder deviation. When the magnetic powder inside the magnetic powder brake is unevenly distributed, if the excitation setting of the clutch is turned on, the magnetic powder will be solidified in an uneven distribution environment, and rotating in this state will cause the magnetic powder to deteriorate, thereby generating a torque higher than the set value. Usually, the value is less than a few percent of the set torque, but when the magnetic powder is wet due to water or oil, the value is also increased when the magnetic powder is deviated.

Solution: 1 Set the delay on, so that the excitation will turn on a few seconds after the clutch starts to rotate. 2 During the clutch stop and idling, a weak excitation of about 5 to 10% of the rated current is applied.
